Presentation/ Group Presentation (English)

In the English class, I also learn how to present well through our project. In our English projects, we have individual project or group project, in every project our lecture give to us, we have to present our project to our lecture. Furthermore, because we have to present our project to our lecture, we are prepared well for our presentation and shows a very good teamwork in our group project. By the way I have improve my presentation skills and communication skills through presentation in our project. Also, I have learn the importance of teamwork and co-operation between our group and group member.

Reading (English)

Besides of listening and writing an essay, I have also learn the importance of reading in my English class. Reading is very important because we can improve our English by reading. Also, our lecture told us to read story books, newspapers, articles, magazines, journals and other reading elements. Furthermore, we can get our ideas or important points to write our essay through reading, when we are writing an essay we will confuse of getting points and ideas, if we have read more in our life, we can get the points and ideas much more easier because we already knows where the points and ideas come from. Moreover, we also can improve our speaking through reading, it can help us to present well in our presentation, so, reading can help us on many other effects.

Listening Test (English)

We also have listening test for our English class. Listening skills are very important in our daily life, because we must be concentrate on what we are listen or what the people talk while we are communicate with other people. So, I have learn a lot of listening skill from my English class and learn to concentrate and focus while my lecture is teaching in front of the class. Also, listening is important while we want to enter our degree because we will have to present or communicate with our lecture, if my listening is not good, I will bring an not good image to my lecture and hard to follow what lecture teach in the class.

Writing Essay (English)

In my high school, writing essay is just a simple thing in my mind, when I heard teacher want us to write an essay, we just write an essay without any others thing. But when I enter Taylor's University, I have learn many things about how to write an good essay, in my English class, my lecture told us writing an essay not just write, you might also have to do a pre-writing before you do an essay because you can list down all your ideas, important points, and many other useful sources before you write an essay.Also, elements of pre-writing may include planning, research, outlining, diagramming, storyboarding or clustering. Besides, in our essay we need to include topic sentence, thesis statement, pronouns, specific details, transition word. Furthermore, in our essay we may include an introduction, body and conclusion. Introduction is an important part because it is an opening remarks to catch reader's interest, introduction also including thesis statement and plan of development. For the body part, it may include 3 paragraph, each paragraph may include topic sentence and specific evidence. For the conclusion part, it may include optional summary or general closing remarks or including both of it. Besides of how to write an essay, I also learn to use quotes and phrases in the class. In conclusion, I have learn many things about writing an essay and how to make my essay become more interesting.
