Culture and Civilization Project 1 (The Rise of Civilization)

In this project, we are required to find a member to do the project, which is 2 person in a group, so I have find a member named Ong Kok Sheng to group with me. After that, our lecture had also given us the title for our project which is Vietnam, an ancient Vietnam. So, we started to do some research about ancient Vietnam. After we had done with the research and we collected enough information for ancient Vietnam, we start doing our work which explaining the history of ancient Vietnam. In conclusion, I have learn how to develop skills in gathering information and synthesizing relevant information into a concise presentation and this project make me learn more about the history of Vietnam. In this project, we are given a task to draw an object by using technical drawing skill, we were allowed to draw any object for our project. Also, we are required to use ruler, A3 paper and Artline pen to draw the objects we have chosen. So, the object I have chose for this project are a wardrobe and a bottle. During the time I start drawing the wardrobe, I have to measure the height and width of the wardrobe so I can draw it on the paper accurately with the scale, and I have to the same thing to the bottle too. After I finished measure the wardrobe and bottle, I start drawing the top view, bottom view, side view/ elevation, sections and the details of the objects that I had chosen for the project. After I finished drawing, I also have to show the scale of the object and my drawing. The pictures above shows my work that I have done in this project. I'm quite interesting in this project, because I have learned how to use technical drawing skills in my future and this project are a little bit challenging for me.

From this assignment, I had learned how to draw an nature object and also the skills to draw or sketch something. In this project, I had used pencil, marker pen, pen and color pencil to finish my project. We also given a task to draw 9 different sketches such as series of 5 min sketch, tracing a photo, creative perspective, spatial communication, spatial structural and joint, object in nature context, animal or figure in action, human activities and geometric projections. After my lectures give group mates and I the brief, we went to different places to take photos so that we can draw something according to the task given in the project, after we finished drawing our sketches, we submitted the sketches to the lecture on the due date. The pictures above shows that the sketches that I have done.

Social Psychology Assignment 2

In this assignment, we have to work in a group up to 5 members, so, my friends and I have form a group for the group assignment. So, I start working with my partner which are Cheong Siew Leong, Lee Yuan June, Tan Ceng Weng and Khew Sze Hao. This assignment show that we need to search for articles or advertisements and apply the concepts that we have learned in Chapter 6 - Attitudes and Persuasion ( Part 1 and 2 ), Chapter 7 - Stereotyping, Prejudice and Discrimination, Chapter 8 - Prosocial Behavior and Chapter 9 - Aggression. Firstly, we had a group discussion and collected the newspapers and magazines so that we can find the articles or advertisements which related to the concepts that we had learned. After we had found the articles and advertisements, we applied the concepts into the articles and advertisements and combined all the works together into a full report. The report is not the only thing we had done, we also do the presentation slide for our group presentation. During the group presentation, my friends and I presented our work very well, and the students also asked some question about our articles. Even though we don't know what is our grade, but we have done our best to this assignment. In this assignments, I learned how to work together with my groupmates and how to perform a very good teamwork. Besides that, I have understand more about the concepts in social psychology.

Social Psychology E-portfolio

In the social psychology class, I have learned many social psychology theory and concept in our life. After a few weeks later, our lecture had given us the project brief which is we had to write two journals by using the social psychology theories and concept we had learned from the class. The social psychology theories and concept that we needed to be used in the journals are Introduction to Social Psychology and Methodology, The Self, Self Presentation, Social Cognition and Social Perception. In the journals, I had written my own experience which involved in the social psychology theories and concept and after I finish my journals, I had submitted it to my lecture during the class at morning 8am. After a week, I had got my journals back and the grade for my journals was B-, I was a little bit depressed because my aim was an A-, but I know where is my mistake in the journals. For an example, I had used chapter 6 social psychology theories and concept but the journals just needed the social psychology theories from chapter 1 to chapter 5, so it was my first mistake. Then, I have made a lot of grammar mistake in the journals and this is one of the reasons I got a lower grade for my journals. So, in the assignment 2, which is a group project, I need to be very careful and learn from the mistake from the assignment 1. Even though I have failed to get to my aim, but I had learn how to learned from the mistake and I have able to apply social psychology theories and concept in my life.
